Canonical has announced the availability of the first Ubuntu 10.04 beta release. The first beta version of a new style using the theme 'Light', with plugins that offer music online from Canonical and a kernel that has been optimized for the recently released Ubuntu 10.04, one day after the official schedule. The new version of Ubuntu is scheduled to arrive in April, codenamed Lucid Lynx and will be a long-term support (LTS) release, which means that updates will be available for three years on the desktop and five years on servers. ‘Lucid Lynx’ has appeared with a new style and bring some improvement.
Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL)' has been removed from Lucid Lynx, and the booting process is rather fast. Using the features 'Open Source Driver Nouveau' for a graphics card NVidia proprietary driver so installation can be installed simultaneously, and at the same time boost the speed of booting.
